Purpose
The purpose of the website is to promote MegaMovies new sci-fi film ''Bionic Attack''. MegaMovies want the website to be made so that it can be viewed on a range of devices. Additionally, the website must be easy to use, give users a positive experience, and include relevant information. In addition to this, the website needs to have links to social media so that users can find out more about the movie.
Additionally, the purpose is to entertain audiences through the fun interactive features and give them a form of escapism where the website makes them forget about everything else in their life and only focus on what's on their screen. Furthermore, another purpose is to inform users of the upcoming movie and the comic and give them all the relevant information they need to know.
Target audience
The target audience is 15-18 year olds for the website but for the comic being released on the website is targeted at the secondary audience of 12-15-year-olds. This means we need to appeal to all ages of the target audience by making sure the website engages them. This can be done by using information for the 15-18-year-olds as they are an age group that will want read information. Additionally, images for 12-15 year olds will be on the website as they are an age group less inclined to read and be able to read as well as the older audience therefore, the images keeps them engaged and allows them to understand the website but visually. 15-18 is a big age gap therefore it will be hard to appeal to both audiences, however, it is a must that the website is appropriate for the younger end of the target audience.
Additionally, we want our website to be for all genders and we don't want anyone to feel left out. Therefore, we have made sure that the movie cast includes both females and males, and the same for the comic, the characters are both female and male in order for all genders to be represented equally.
Furthermore, it is vital that our website is very easy for both our target audiences to use and that they have a positive, stress free experience when using the website. As well as this, we need to make sure the website is appealing to our target audiences as both age groups are fairly young and might loose focus quickly therefore, we will avoid this by adding interactive features that they might be curious and excited to click on to not deter them from using the website, and it gives users more of an active experience instead of a less active one just casually scrolling through the website.
Content
The website will include many different interactive features in order to keep the audience engaged. This can be done by having clikable slideshow galleries that enable users to click on the screen and see the cast for the Bionic Attack movie, and also see the characters featuring in the comic and a short backstory of the characters. on the website to entertain audiences and keep them actively using the website for longer. Additionally, we will include information about the movie ''Bionic Attack'' with teasers and trailers of the movie that will help to keep audiences engaged. Additionally, users can pre-order merchandise and fill out form and click an interactive button that submits the form and sends them a confirmation email of their order. Furthermore, a clickable PDF folder will be put in the comic section of the website so that users can click on it and it takes them to another tab with the whole comic so that they can read it.
There will be an about us section, where users can read about who Megamovie is and what they do therfore, giving them an insight into who the makers of the website are. Furthermore, there will also be a scriptwriters section where users can read about the people who write the scripts for productions such as the Bionic Attack movie and the comic that feature on the website.
Furthermore, links to popular social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc. will be included on the website in order for users to keep more information on the upcoming movie. As well as this, users can subscribe to Megamovie to get updates,discounts, exclusive information and more and they have to type their email and click an interactive button that completes their subscription.
In terms of interactivity and accessiblity, on the website I will have a contact form so users can ask a question and then click on a button that submits the form. Additionally, I will add a PDF document of my comic so when users click on the PDF it takes them to a separate tab with the comic that they can read fully and download. Another thing I will add is in the merchandise section, users can pre-order the limited edition clothing products by filling out a form and once pressing a button that submits the form, a confirmation email will be sent to them with when they need to pay and when they will get what they pre-ordered.
Another thing I plan on adding is having an interactive slide show for both the comic and movie section on the website. The interactive slide will show who the characters are in the comic with a short description of their backstory, and for the movie the slideshow will show the actors/actresses that will be in the movie. Furthermore, I will make sure each feature will be very accessible and easy for users to use and navigate the website with ease as the most important thing is for users to have a positive and stress free experience when using the website.
Client needs
When making the website, we must ensure that we meet all the client needs. MegaMovie (The client) has asked for a minimum of six pages/screens, a minimum of two forms of interactivity,images, animation, and audio or video. Additionally, the website must have relevant information with links to social media, merchandise pages, and promote scriptwriters. Furthermore, it needs to be targeted towards 15-18-year-olds. These needs are extremely important as we want to make sure that our client is going to be happy with the final result and that everything is how they want it. I will make a page specifically for the ''Bionic Attack'' movie to draw audience's attention to it and make them want to watch the movie.
User needs
When making the website, we need to make sure that we give users an immersive, fun, and happy experience. This can be done by making the layout of the website easy to navigate so users can access the website and use the different features easily as users won't want to use a website that is hard to get navigate as they won't be able to do anything easily. We want to make sure that all the content on the website is accessible on multiple devices as some users might have different devices to other users, and we don't want any users missing out because they don't have a certain device.
When users want to check out when buying our merchandise, we need to ensure they check out safely and securely. This can be done by making sure users know their rights and our returns policy before making a purchase. Additionally, if users type in their card information, we will make sure that when they type the details it doesn't show on the screen, it just shows asteriks on the screen. This is for safety purposes so that if someone has hacked their device and can see their screen, then they cant get their card details and make any transactions.
Additionally, we need to make sure users can easily navigate our website. Users want a website that is easy to use and if the website is too hard for them to use then they won't want to continue using it and they won't find out about the movie and the comic with the details about both of them. Therefore, we must ensure that our website is layed out in a simplistic way that is easy for users to navigate the website with all the headers for each section being clear to read so users know what to click on. We also want to ensure that we use legible fonts on our website because certain fonts can be hard to read and we want users to be able to read everything clearly on our website. Therefore, we will use legible fonts that can be read clearly for every user.
The language on the website must be easily understood for users as the target audience being 15-18 year olds and 12-15 year olds won't want to read any language that doesn't appeal to them e.g. advanced words that they might not know the meaning to. Therefore, we will ensure the language we use on the website is basic as we need to take into account that this target audience is young and won't typically be able to read advanced language.
Finally, we need to make sure we use a good use of colour combinations as we need to ensure certain colours don't clash with other colours on the website making it overwhelming for users. Therefore, if we used a bright red background, then we must ensure the text on top is darker so that it can been seen clearly, as bright text on top of a bright background won't be seen and it will just blend in making it unclear for users on what they're reading.
Delivery format
On our social media accounts, we will have links to the website where users can click on the link and it takes them to the website instantaneously no matter on the device they're using as the website can be used on a variety of devices. By having the link on various social media platforms, it allows for users to send the link to their friends and this then means the link will be seen by more people and more people will view and use the website from hearing about it through their friends.
Platform for use
The client brief states that the website needs to be viewed on a number of devices. Therefore, will we ensure that the website can be viewed on computers/laptops as they are large screens which will make the website easy to view. Additionally, the website will be available to be viewed on smartphones and tablets as these devices tend to be more accessible as they are on hand most of the time. where the website can be accessed via links on social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and more. Furthermore, on all these devices, users can interact with the website and its features giving them an immersive and engaging experience that will keep them on the website for longer.
Platform for budget
When making the website as well as the comic that is being released later on on the website, we must ensure that no one steals our work. Therefore, to prevent this we will get a copywriter who will make sure that this doesn't not happen and if it were to then they know exactly what actions to take. A copywriter costs around £400-500 daily (£50-£75 hourly rate). This means when making the website we need to budget and make sure that we have enough to pay for a copywriter but also that we have enough to make the website and comic.
Additionally, we will need to budget in order to be able to get hosting. This means that we need to pay to create and maintain the website. Hosting costs can start from £2 a month to over £400 a month, therefore we need to ensure we budget in order to be able to afford the hosting costs.
Finally, we will need to budget in order to be able to get royalties. This means that if someone licensed their work to our website then they will get a profit from it. Royalty prices vary from 2%-15% therefore, we need to make sure we have enough money from our budget in order to pay the creator of the work that we have used on our website.

This is the sitemap for my website which shows how my website will be laid out.
In all of my wireframe sketches shown above, I have shown what the website will look like before creating it. I have decided to use a header bar so users can navigate each section of the website. This is useful for users as they can easily navigate the website quickly as the header shows all the sections of the website users can click on. Additionally, I will be using sci-fi colours on the website such as purple, blue, red etc. as these are very sci-fi/ futuristic colours and therefore, will the colours will connote that this is a sci-fi based website.

Graphical User Interface (GUI)
On the website, we aim to include a few interactive elements for users. The comic we're promoting on the website will have a clickable PDF file that users can click on and once downloaded it takes them to another tab with the whole comic that they can read. Additionally, we will also have a section in the Bionic Attack part of the website and also the comic part of the website that shows the characters featured in the movie and in the comic. This will be interactive by having a clickable slide show that users can click on the arrows and flick to see who is featuring in the film/comic.
Additionally, there will be forms for users to sign up for or contact us. This will be interactive because users can type on the screen to fill out the form or touch the screen if they are using the mobile version of the website. Once completing the form they can click a button that submits the form.
Interactivity and accessibility
I plan on adding a merchandise shop in which users can buy products from the movie and comic and interact with it, and furthermore, fill out a form which allows them to pre-order the products and then receive a confirmation email that confirms their order and all the details about it. Additionally, I will ensure that this feature is very accessible as we want users to easily pre-order any merchandise they want without having any problems.
Additionally, I will plan on adding an interactive gallery as it allows you to click on the image and go through the cast of the movie. Furthermore, I will plan on adding a PDF that is interactive as users can click on the PDF and it takes them to a new tab with the entire comic they can read. I will make sure this feature is accessible as we need to ensure that users can easily access the entire comic without having any issues.
We can advertise the website on big billboards on busy motorways and roads and busy areas e.g. town centres in order to gain a large audience. This will increase the awareness of the website as lots of people daily look at billboards especially ones that stand out which we aim to do.

Design ideas
For the design of my website, I will be using a sci-fi colour palette in order for my website to match the genre of sci-fi. Therefore, the colour scheme will consist of dark purples, greys, and blues as these are very sci-fi/ futuristic colours. I will also include a few buttons where users can click on what is being asked e.g. sign up button, download comic button etc. This makes users have an interactive experience. Additionally, space and Sci-fi planets will be the theme of the website because this relates to the theme of Sci-fi.
